Cold fear
Hot tears
I cannot leave you Budapest
Not your scowling
not your raining
not your shining
I dodge your dog shit
I keep on
this is my way, my city
I'm not leaving Budapest until Oct. 28th actually. I was just reading a newspaper at lunch, and I was looking at the arts calendar for the next couple weeks, and I realized for the first time that my departure was imminent.
But then, yes, the Rest: off to London for five days, then to Florida to see my family and to eat bagels. After that, I don't know, but I'll bet wherever I go there will be a new blog.
Saskatchewan and the Rest? Gary, Indiana and the Rest?
"Well, Pest has never been an agreeable town. But desirable, yes: like a racy, full-blooded young married woman about whose flirtations everyone knows and yet gentlemen are glad to bend down and kiss her hand..." – Gyula Krúdy
I am a decadent dilettante, a frivolous melancholic, a lady of fashion, who assuages her guilt by picking up litter. Currently doing the expat thing in Budapest.

Oh no! Please don't leave Budapest. But if you do, at least keep blogging wherever you are and it will be OK.
